LMBT #21002

I began my studies of the healing arts in 2007 with a Classical Yoga training program in Maharashtra, India.   The practice of yoga led me naturally to learn Thai Yoga Massage at the Integral Yoga Institute, and then to completing Massage Therapy training in 2016 at the McKinnon Bodywork Institute. My education has included a variety of Eastern and Western modalities, such as Deep Tissue, Trigger Point, Thai Yoga Massage, Shiatsu, Orthopedic Massage, Prenatal and Postnatal massage, Myofascial Release, Yoga Therapy, Reiki, and Swedish massage.

A session with me tends to combine specific therapeutic work with a relaxing, holistic approach, and may include rhythmic compressions, passive joint movement, long flowing strokes, positional release, vibrational healing, and stretching.  My goal is to help clients find more freedom of movement, ease in stillness, relief from chronic pain, and body awareness.  I strive to make each session a moving meditation for both client and therapist, to inspire the currents of the body to slow down and enter a deep state of bliss in which the body can restore its tissues with ease.

In addition to a massage license I also hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree and have tried my hand at drawing and painting, sculpture, creative writing, songwriting, and sequential art.  In my spare time I enjoy crafting and fix-it projects, rambling in the woods, and collecting vintage books and vinyl records.
